Service
Ordra - ReturnShield analyzes a merchant's Shopify data, provides explainable return/refund risk signals and applies merchant-configured checkout validation. The merchant remains responsible for reviewing recommendations and complying with consumer, equality, privacy and commerce laws.
Fair use and prohibited use
The service may not be used to discriminate unlawfully, create a shared blacklist, misrepresent a customer as fraudulent, or make decisions based solely on a person's name or address. Merchants must provide reasonable customer support and a review path for blocked buyers.
Plans and payment
Free and paid functionality is described on the Shopify-hosted pricing page. Paid plans, trials, upgrades, downgrades and cancellations are administered through Shopify. Pro-only automation and rules are paused after downgrade; merchant-created records are not sold or transferred.
Availability and changes
The service is provided on a commercially reasonable basis. Maintenance, Shopify platform changes or events outside our control may temporarily affect availability. Checkout validation is configured to fail open on technical failure; only an explicit matching rule or BLOCKED state should stop checkout.
Disclaimer
ReturnShield provides operational signals, not legal, credit, fraud or identity advice. Refund activity does not prove a physical return or wrongdoing. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties beyond those expressly required by applicable law.
Termination
A merchant may uninstall the app or change plan through Shopify. Required privacy deletion workflows continue after uninstall. Terms that by their nature must survive termination, including lawful limitations and privacy duties, remain effective.
